Contemporary kinds of slavery / charcoal production / Brazil. Oswaldo da Silva loads one of the 45 ovens he and his two son take care at Carvomax Company in Ribas do Rio Pardo city. He has been working in the ovens of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul for over 20 years. Every day, including sundays and holidays, he wakes up at 3 AM and works until dusk.
