Route BR-495, the Itaipava-Teresopolis road, in the past known as 14-curve highway, the bends being intentional so that horses would not have to confront unnecessarily steep slopes. With a length of 33.4 km and a maximum altitude of around 1,500 m, it is located in Serra dos Orgaos; the highway is winding and has no shoulder.
