Street vendor sells colorful batidas, a Brazilian cocktail made with cachaca, fruit juice and sugar, at "Simpatia e quase amor" (Sympathy is almost like love), a Rio de Janeiro carnival block founded in 1984 in Ipanema, on the celebration of its 40th anniversary. Carnival blocks are street bands that mobilize crowds on the streets and are one of the main popular expressions of Brazilian Carnival.
