Children stand in line for getting the morning meal at MST camp ( private estate occupation )  in south Brazil - Landless Workers' Movement (Portuguese - Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem Terra, MST) is a social movement in Brazil, being generally regarded as one of the largest in Latin America with an estimated informal 1.5 million membership - its aims are to fight for general access to the land for poor workers through land reform in Brazil and through activism around social issues impinging on the achievement of land possession, such as unequal income distribution, racism, sexism, and media monopolies. In short, the MST strives to achieve a social covenant providing a self-sustainable way of life for the poor in rural areas.
