Rio de Janeiro south zone at night, located between the Tijuca Massif, the Atlantic Ocean and Guanabara Bay - in this region, the majority of the city's famous balneario beaches ( like Ipanema and Leblon at right )  are located, as well as the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and Jockey Club do Brasil ( in the center ), much of the Tijuca National Park ( at left ), the Sugar Loaf hill, the Corcovado hill, where the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer stands, and other natural wonders and tourist attractions. It is the richest region of the city, and is visited by thousands of tourists from different parts of the world throughout the year.
