Pantanal, Brazilian telenovela – TV serial drama , soap opera -  originally aired in 1990 on Rede Manchete – Brazilian television network extintic in 1999 - written by Benedito Ruy Barbosa and directed by Jayme Monjardim - use of mirrors to improve natural light quality. The Pantanal region, whose name derives from the Portuguese word pântano - meaning swamp -  is one of the largest freshwater wetland ecosystems in the world. The region has been called an ecological paradise. The location, along with the unusual storyline, special effects and erotic nature of the drama made the novela one of the greatest successes of the Brazilian TV in all times.
