Post office at Paraty ( or Parati ), a preserved Portuguese colonial and Brazilian Imperial town located on the Costa Verde ( Green Coast ), a lush, green corridor that runs along the south coastline of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil - Paraty has become a popular tourist area renowned for the historic constructions and is known for the cobblestone-paved streets throughout the Historic Center District. It was proclaimed a National Historic and Artistic Site in 1958 and a National Historic Monument in 1966.
